Keeping a beat is the first step that makes it easier for children to enter the world of music. As they learn to strike the instrument, move their hands, or use their fingers to create different sounds while playing, they stay engaged in the activity for longer periods of time. The cajón is therefore fun, challenging, and provides opportunities for children to create rhythms and let their imaginations run wild as they play.
